Kinda sad because no one answered my question. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!?

So this guy, who is my ex boyfriend. We just recently started talking again, after 5 years of not talking. Anyways not to go into details he treats me like s**t. I got used to it by now frankly ( i know i know pathetic me). But the truth is i love him and id be willing to put up with him. The thing is, I want him to realize how much he is hurting me. I tried talking to him but i dont think that anything i say goes through to his head. So what can i do to make him realize that he is hurting me so much? Or if i do decide to stop putting up with his shananigans whats the best way to leave and make him be hurt i guess. Jeez i just want him to feel something. ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED THANK YOU.
