Why does my grandma keep wanting me to tan?

It's annoying as balls. Why can't she understand (even though I say it 100's of times) I JUST DON'T LIKE TAN SKIN. I think pale skin is beautiful and suits me better. And everyone agrees, except her. She always says things like "that would look better if your legs were tan" "oh, i have this new tanning stuff" yadda yadda. I don't care!! It's so frustrating. She can never just compliment me. Just because she baked herself in the sun when she was my age (yeah, she told me about it) and now has alligator skin and spots everywhere doesn't mean I wanna do that. And it's not even because I don't wanna get cancer. I just find lighter skin more appealing! Jeez.
