You're friend is appealing to you because you trust him, you can come to him to things. He's there for you. Ok so big deal he may not be on the top ten best looking for your list but what does that matter?! Looks are just a plus. If he is there for you, you guys have fun and he treats you with respect, whats wrong with liking him? But if you really don't want to try being with him, then try hanging out with other guys, or in different groups.
